Welcome to the online home of the Black Cat Cafe in Ruddington. We are based at 24D High Street with an aim of providing fresh food and cakes and hope you will come in and say hello. It’s your local cafe so if there’s a cake or menu item you would love to see please let us know..
WHAT WE DO
Baked fresh, some favourites available everyday, some depending on the whim of the baker, but all delicious.
Building on the success of Mathew’s Deli and Cafe, the Black Cat Cafe took over the reins on 20 August 2016. We bought the business as we liked the relaxed atmosphere, the taste of the coffee, and menu selection.
We would like to extend the offering both in terms of hours that we are open, and the menu we provide, and continue to offer a place to relax with friends and family.
We have all our fruit and veg supplied by our local greengrocer, Glyn Thomas’s, just at the other end of the High Street in Ruddington. Owen Taylor is our butcher and they supply us with high quality meat (including their award winning sausages) which are locally sourced from within the Midlands.
We bake our own bread for sandwiches and toast on the premises, all our cakes are homemade here too. The scotch eggs and sausage rolls of varying flavours are made weekly, and our honey mustard ham, chicken and pork are all cooked on-site and prepared ready for sandwiches.
We make everything fresh so it’s not under heat lamps waiting for you, unfortunately this means sometimes there can be a slight delay during our busy periods. If you’re in a rush phone through your order and we will have it ready for you.
Current favourites are Carrot cake with cream cheese icing, our Millionaire slice and our Victoria Sponge
